BIG ANNOUNCEMENTS FROM TEAM CHIVALRY

Today represents a new chapter of our dream to become a successful indie game company as we announce that Team Chivalry will now be operating under the name “Torn Banner Studios” Incorporated. This is an administrative change more than anything else but it is also a statement of how seriously we are taking this opportunity and represents an additional step taken by us towards our goal. Check out the company’s new logo below:

In addition, we had a lot of feedback from our community members on the original name of our game (Chivalry: Battle for Agatha) which we felt was valid and as a result we have opted to change the name of the game to something more obvious and straightforward for marketing purposes. The new name of our first product as a company will be “CHIVALRY: MEDIEVAL WARFARE”. Checkout the new game logo below:

This news is accompanied by the launch of our brand new website design at http://www.chivalrythegame.com which reveals a whole host of information about the game including background information on the teams, lore from the game world and much more. The website will continue to be expanded upon as we develop the game and we hope it will become a library of knowledge for players prior to release.

This news also means that we will be focusing much more on marketing from now on. No more waiting months to hear the latest from our project, we have a ton of content we are very excited to show you.

On that note, we are happy to announce that Torn Banner Studios will also be exhibiting our game at PAX EAST this year! If you are in the Boston area this March make sure you swing by! We will be in Booth I-15 in the indie alley. To find us, look for our castle (rough concept image):

Also note that on our website there is a countdown to our new ingame trailer release and we’re very excited to see what you guys think of your first glimpse ingame! So be sure to track us here and also follow along on our news page of our website to ensure you get all the juicy details.

We’re very excited to see how future news of our game is received by this community so be sure to let us know what you are thinking and keep us on the right track by joining up on our forums: http://www.chivalrythegame.com/forums .

Absolutely the best way to not get a beta key.
The dev reading this right now is wanting to prove me wrong. Go right ahead. >:V

I heard the best way to get a beta key is to post a picture of yourself wearing a silly hat.

C:ME is getting closer and closer to release, oneday I'll be bowling with heads again, but then in the unreal engine! /dance

Also, long emoticonlist is long... lol.
Roughly 2.5 times the height of the actualy post typing window.... XD)

Grats on all the big news. I salute listening to the community vis a vis the game name. New site looks good and I'm sure the new trailer will too... bout to rush off to the new info. Not super wild about the studio name, but it ain't bad... sure beats TEAM CHIVALRY.

Regarding beta keys: lurk moar. (both of you). :jconf: :jconf:

Site's looking very sexy. Very, very sexy. Can't wait for a developer interview video, as I'm dying of curiosity about the combat system. That's what ultimately matters the most, imo :).

I have a Question, did you guys actually get incorporated, legit and all? If you did congrats!

I also have designed and built trade show booths, sets and large props for my even planning business. I actually made a castle that was 24' long by 18' high for an event. I will try and find picks but what I did was to buy large Sonotubes used to pour concrete pillars (they will cut to fit), sanded it and painted them along with cutting a 1' tall tube that I used to make the ramparts and cut and shaped some pieces to make stone and attached it to the tower. I also used wood paneling for a makeshift drawbridge I placed on the floor and made blocks to attach chains to it. Feel free to use these ideas and I will try and get you pics. My back up HD crashed and I lost a lot of pics but I will look....

In addition, I think the logo would look better if the handle and tip were closer to scale like the font, something like this:
